The descendant

A member of Negombo’s Bharatha community, Selvam Croos Moraes reminisces about his discovery of an archive photograph of the Donoughmore Commission, in which his father was a staff member.     I have seen your excellent presentation of the story of the Donoughmore Commission in Ceylon in 1939. It is no doubt a part of history where all races at that time were recognised in a united Sri Lanka. Thanks for reminding us of this great piece of history.
